It's time to start writing for our annual essay contest. We've had some outstanding essays submitted in the past and encourage each of you to put your thoughts on paper for this year's topic: "Music has a way to stir and inspire us in ways that nothing else can. What is an American hymn or patriotic song that inspires you? Why?" This is an optional activity. 500 words or less. Submit your essay to youthforlibertycamp@gmail.com by May 15th. Awards of $25 first place, $15 second place, and $10 third place will be announced at the awards ceremony at the end of camp. Essay judges are not affiliated with camp.
We will be holding a "Meet and Greet" for those of you who may have friends or relatives who want to meet us or ask questions about camp before sending their children. It will be at the library in Logan, Utah, on Friday, April 11, from 7-8 pm. The address is 255 N. Main.
Last year, Josh Hales, a favorite class instructor, led an early morning book discussion on How to Win Friends and Influence People. This year, he will be doing another one. Again, it will be an optional early morning class and the book will be Getting to Yes: Negotiating Agreement Without Giving In. If you would like to participate, please read the book before camp.
If you want to purchase a hoodie or beanie with our logo on it, go to our merchandise page. Any purchase made before May 1st will be available for pick during check-in at camp.
